Pinwheels and Putt-Putt

A whole city rises from the Nevada dust for one week, then vanishes without a trace. No money, no spectators — just art cars, radical gifting, and tens of thousands of people building something impossible together. It ends when the Man burns. Black Rock City, we spin for you.

Our first year taking our new camp to Burning Man, for “Animalia”. We joined forces with our good friends and Burning Man gate veterans: Richie and Kara. They are big golf fans and wanted to incorporate mini golf into the camp, so we combined it with pinwheels! We had a few holes of mini golf on our frontage, with pinwheels instead of flags! We were placed at 7:15 and F and enjoyed our central neighborhood location! We had a really fun week, and on Friday early evening is when the rains started! We hunkered down and listened to BMIR.. adapting and rearranging our camp accordingly. We still held a few parties, whole neighborhood showed up, as the ground everywhere became a muddy, slushy mess! We took care of eachother, hoped for the best, and when it finally cleared and started drying up on Sunday, we went out together and had a blast! On Monday night when the man burned, it was the most epic, and well-earned burns ever!!
