Pinwheel Party Peeps

San Diego's own little playa. YouTopia is the regional burn where SoCal's pinwheel people gather to build, gift, and dance under the desert stars — Burning Man's principles at a scale you can hug. Smaller dust, same fire.

We applied for an art grant this year and brought a big art piece to our camp called “Kaleido-Wheels”.. right on theme with YouTopia’s 2025 “Kaleidoscope Bazaar”. It was 3 Jumbo Pinwheels decorated with Disco Ball Mirrors and Blacklight Reactive neon paint, with a big homemade Kaleidoscope to look at the pinwheels through. It was all mounted on a big black wooden table where people could paint and draw with blacklight reactive markers.
