The camp behind the pinwheels
Built by hand.
Better together.
We’re PinWheelerZ, a festival camp with a thing for oversized, hand-built pinwheels and the people who gather around them.

Our camp has taken shape over years at Burning Man, Lightning in a Bottle, Youtopia and other West Coast gatherings. We tried a few pinwheel-themed identities along the way before landing on PinWheelerZ.
The pinwheels have always been part of the story: mechanical, hand-built, made in different sizes and a little absurd. They catch the light, move with the wind and give people a reason to wander over.
Every camp adds another chapter. This site is where we keep the photos and stories, stay connected between events and find the next place to show up together.

Bring yourself. Bring something to share.
Want to camp with us?
Start with the camp you’re interested in. Tell the leads a little about yourself, why you want to come and the skills or contributions you’d like to bring.
- 1. Find an upcoming camp. Open its page for the event details and application.
- 2. Make your profile. Sign up, verify your email and add your name and photo.
- 3. Send your application. The camp leads review it; you can check its status on the camp page.
Creating an account lets you take part on the site. A place in camp depends on the leads reviewing and approving your application.
